Frequently Asked Questions
What if I don’t have a group of 8?
Don't have a group of 8 or more, but still want to play? Consider one of these options:
- Play with the Splatters Recreational League (Sundays 1pm - 5pm), or
- Any Friday (4pm - dark), Saturday (10am - dark), or Sunday (1pm - dark), come to the park to play with whoever is at the park at that time, or
- Join us for a special Public Event, or
- Call Splatters at 1 (204) 388-BALL (2255) or email info@splatterspaintball.com to see when the weekday reservations are so you can play at the same time.
What age do you have to be to play?
The minimum age of participants is 7 years old. We've introduced LOW IMPACT paintball for those ages 7 and up, to allow younger or tentative players to enjoy the adrenaline without any pain! Standard paintball is available for ages 10 and up as well, but these players will be separated from any low impact participants. Also, those under 18 require the signature of someone of age on their waiver, so it is a good idea to print them out beforehand! Sign the Digital e-Waiver.
When do you close for the day?
The park closes for paintball play when the referees determine that it is too dark to continue, but the firepits remain open for as long as you want to stay! The staging area provides lights to guide you to and from the washrooms, and there is no required time that you have to leave the firepit areas. The driving range is open 24/7 for cash!
Do I have to reserve a field?
When your group is at Splatters, you will have access to all of the outdoor playing fields at any time, and groups can freely cycle through whichever fields are open throughout the day. When you make a reservation, your group will very likely be at the park with many other groups, but you will not be required to play with or against other groups, unless your group is very small, and the park is at or almost at capacity.
How long does the paintball season last?
We are typically open from early April to mid-November, depending on the snow.
What should we wear?
Splatters Paintball does not provide clothing. We recommend wearing baggy clothes to soften the blow of the paintball, and most backwards caps and toques will fit under your paintball mask to protect the back of your head. All the paint is washable, but we still recommend wearing something that you can get dirty from mud and grass stains.
What is provided when we reserve a fire-pit?
Firewood is provided FREE of charge, as well as roasting sticks! We do not have a BBQ on site, but groups can feel free to bring their own if wiener roasting sticks are not preferred. Feel free to bring any food you’d like as well!
What if the weather is bad?
Splatters Paintball is open in pretty much any weather. Paintball is still a blast in the pouring rain! If our refs observe lightning within a close proximity, they will call all players indoors to let it pass, but after play will resume! If the forecast is looking bad, we do understand if you’d like to postpone to a different date; just give us a call at 1 (204) 388-2255 to change your reservation!
Is everything outdoors?
All the playing fields are outdoors, but we do have indoor staging areas for players to warm up/dry off. We also have several covered firepits, so you can still cook hot dogs in the pouring rain!
Do you have food/drink available?
We have small concessions available (chips, chocolate bars, jerky etc.) on site. Feel free to bring any food or drinks onto the yard to enjoy. If you’d like your event to be catered, we can arrange it as well!
What is your alcohol policy?
Alcohol is allowed at the firepit area, but must not be consumed until after play is finished for the day and the paintball equipment has been returned. Splatters does not sell alcohol.
